Helen McAndrew, Scranton died Tuesday evening at home after an illness.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen Gaffney McAndrew. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Scranton. Before retirement in 1989 she was employed by the Scranton State General Hospital.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the Scranton Business and Professional Women’s Club and the American Association of University Women’s Club.
She is survived by loving friends.
She was preceded in death by sisters Margaret and Patricia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 in the Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor Ave.
Friends may call at the church Saturday morning from 9am until time of Mass.
Interment, Dunmore Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Building Fund 801 Taylor Ave Scranton 18510.
