Elizabeth Williams, 95, resident of West Scranton, passed away on Saturday morning at home after an illness.  She was the widow of Arthur Williams who died March 6, 1993.

Born in Glenolden, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret Whittaker Snow and was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School.  She was a member of the First United Church of Christ and its Women’s Circle.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. A diligent homemaker sharing her love and concern with all of her family members.  Many memories will be held dear in their hearts.

The family would like to thank Drs. Louis Kareha and Michael Kondash for their compassionate care.  They would also like to thank traditional home health and hospice as well as caregivers Dawna Nidoh and Betty Simonetti for their extraordinary care and compassion they showed to our mother.

Elizabeth is survived by two daughters Janice Davis and her husband Alfred of Dalton and Karen Tyler and her husband Raymond of Montoursville; a son Jan Williams and his wife Gerta of The Villages, Florida; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren;  one great great grandchild;  several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude James and a brother Jack Snow.

A memorial service will be held December 31, 2013 at 11am in the First United Church of Christ corner of Price St. and N. Bromley Ave., West Scranton.  Services will be officiated by Rev. Harrison Putnam.

Interment will be private in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
