Samantha Mahoney, 24, Scranton, sadly died early Tuesday morning from a drug overdose. Her fiancé is Matthew Anneman.
Born 1993 in Scranton, she was the daughter of Debbie Walsh and step daughter of Peter Keslosky. She was educated in Mid Valley Schools and was of the Catholic faith.
Sam loved her family, friends and her beautiful daughter Lexie Rose. She did not want to leave them, but her addiction swept her away. Do not let her death be in vain. Learn from it and if you are struggling with addiction, please get help. There are people like the Forever Sammi Foundation there for you. Your life is precious, you are loved.
Also surviving are her beloved daughter Lexie Rose Anneman; sisters Olivia and Julia Keslosky; a step brother Ashton Jesso; her maternal grandmother Lillian Walsh; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather John J. Walsh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton by Rev. Joseph Sica.
Friends may call Saturday from 9am until time of Mass at the church.
Interment, private at the convenience of the family in Cathedral Cemetery.
