Marlene Evans, Lake Sheridan, died early Sunday morning in the Schuylkill Center, Pottsville after an illness. She was the widow of William D. Evans.
Born January 12, 1935 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Frances Kenner Slater and was a dedicated caretaker to her family.
Surviving are sons William Evans and Daniel Evans; daughters Deborah Ayers and Lynn Gower ; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Russell, Kenneth, Raymond, Franklin, Robert and Jack Slater; sisters Dorothy Monohan and Shirley Rabecs.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10am in the Fairview Memorial Park , Route 435 Elmhurst.
Those attending will be asked to adhere to all CDC guidelines.
