Lillian McDonald Dworak, Scranton, died Saturday morning in the Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit after an illness. She was the widow of her first husband Edward McDonald, Sr and her second husband Daniel Dworak.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Beebe Jackson. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and its 800 Club. Prior to retirement she had been employed as a cook at the Greenridge Diner and also at the Marian and St John’s Convents.
The family would like to thank the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for the compassionate and dedicated care given to Lillian.
Surviving are sons Edward McDonald, Jr. and his wife Grace of Scranton and Robert McDonald of Taylor; a daughter Margaret McGraw of Taylor; a daughter in law Carolyn McDonald of Scranton; a sister Josephine Biefeld of Nicholson; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sons James and Thomas McDonald; a sister Rhoda Cherinka.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30am in the Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave. Scranton.
Friends may call Monday from 4-7pm in the Vanston and James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St Scranton.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
