Edward Kelly, Scranton, passed away late Friday in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit surrounded by his family after an illness. His wife is the former Margie Bennie.
Born 1970 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Albert Kelly and Alice Kuchwara Kelly. He attended Holy Rosary School and was a 1988 graduate of Scranton Central High School. He was a lifelong member of the Mary, Mother of God Parish. Prior to his illness, Eddie worked in construction with Russo and DeMaio and the Scranton Sewer Authority. He also worked for himself in the masonry field.
Eddie loved Notre Dame, the Dallas Cowboys and his two best friends, his dogs Apollo and Bode. Eddie will be always remembered as a kind and generous person who would help anyone. He had a wonderful heart. Eddie will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Also surviving are his brothers Daniel Kelly and his wife Barbara and Stephen Kelly and his companion Cat DiPaolo; two nephews Kyle and Danny; an aunt Susie Aulisio; uncles James and Sam Kuchwara; cousins; countless friends.
He was also preceded in death by uncles Michael and Robert Kuchwara ; aunts Ann Marie Colo and Rosemary Kuchwara.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10am in the Holy Rosary Church, Mary, Mother of God Parish 316 William Street, Scranton.
Friends may call Friday morning from 9 -9:55am in the church.
Interment, private at the convenience of the family.
